The Swiss School of Management is accredited by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) which aligns with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). MFHEA, Malta Further and Higher Education Authority, is the national regulatory authority responsible for licensing, accrediting, quality assurance, and recognition of further and higher education institutions in Malta. The MFHEA ensures that education providers in Malta meet national and international quality standards and that the qualifications they issue are valid and recognized. We are pleased to announce that the Swiss School of Management has successfully achieved recertification by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems for the EduQua quality label. This important milestone reaffirms our longstanding dedication to maintaining the highest standards in adult continuing education and professional development.
Since the first day of operations, more than two decades ago, the Swiss School of Management (SSM) has been certified by EduQua, a Swiss quality label for further education institutions. The first Swiss quality label geared towards adult continuing education, eduQua is made up of over 1000 schools, institutions and academies in all of Switzerland. EduQua is an certification body recognized and supported by the Swiss Confederate Government; it’s the first quality certification for public and private educational institutions in Switzerland. EduQua is the premier quality assurance certification scheme for continuing education (can be general education, further education, professional education).
The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) endorses eduQua as an officially recognized quality assurance scheme. EDK highly recommends the institution of higher education certified by eduQua. In more and more cantons, the certification is a requirement for public funding. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) also endorses EduQua.
Welcome from the President Swiss School of Management – Malta Campus As we proudly celebrate our 34th year of academic excellence, I am delighted to share remarkable achievements that reflect our unwavering dedication and visionary approach. This year, our guiding motto is "We did it, again!" With great enthusiasm and pride, I announce that the Swiss School of Management reached an exciting milestone: SSM has officially obtained its State Licence from the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA). This authorizes us to operate in the Republic of Malta and to award Maltese degrees that are fully recognized by the Government of Malta and throughout the European Union. Choosing Malta as one of our key academic hubs reflects not only our strategic growth but also our deep respect for Malta’s exceptional educational system, which is renowned for its high academic standards, multilingual environment, and progressive policies on innovation and internationalization in education. Malta offers a truly unique blend of European excellence and Mediterranean vibrancy—an ideal environment for learning, personal growth, and global networking. Our presence in Malta further strengthens our mission to bring Swiss-quality education to the heart of the Mediterranean, within a country known for its rich cultural heritage, dynamic economy, and robust academic infrastructure. The academic offering at SSM Malta is currently highlighted by our outstanding Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program, totaling 90 ECTS and designed to be completed over 1.5 years. Additionally, students who successfully complete at least 65 ECTS within the first year of study become eligible to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, providing a valuable qualification along the way to the full MBA. Currently in the pipeline SSM has also submitted the three-years Bachelor of Business Administration Degree program and the three-years Doctor of Business Administration program as well. Over three decades ago, I envisioned an extraordinary business school—one that would thrive internationally with learning centers and partnerships spanning the globe. Throughout this journey, our commitment to excellence has been validated through continuous EduQua certification and international accreditations such as from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). True to our Swiss roots, we have embedded values like precision, transparency, quality, and efficiency into the DNA of SSM. These principles, combined with the warmth and openness of the Maltese educational landscape, create an extraordinary synergy that defines our Malta campus. SSM is proud to be a "Boutique Business School", offering personalized education supported by advanced technology and a sincere focus on developing not just professionals—but authentic leaders. Our programs prioritize strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, stakeholder management, and collaborative leadership, preparing our students to thrive in today’s fast-paced, interconnected world. Our distinguished faculty—comprised of seasoned professionals, esteemed academics, and successful entrepreneurs—apply the “Case Study Method” to ensure our students gain practical insights into real business challenges. In our Master's and Doctoral programs, students engage in meaningful research, crafting solutions that drive real-world impact and sustainable growth. The Malta campus further enriches this offering through international learning weeks, global competitions, specialized workshops, and flexible delivery methods, including online, hybrid, and podcast-based learning, catering to the needs of busy professionals. Most importantly, our greatest pride lies in the enthusiastic word-of-mouth from our students and alumni—proof that our commitment to academic excellence and personal transformation truly resonates. I warmly invite you to become part of the SSM Malta family, and to experience firsthand the distinctive blend of Swiss excellence and Maltese hospitality that defines our institution. I look forward to welcoming you in person. Warm regards, Dr. Massimiliano Bracalé Founding President Swiss School of Management
